In the classroom there is chart displayed with red, yellow and green. There is a clothes pin with each student’s name on it. Each student will begin his/her day on green. The student will be giving two warnings before their color is changed to yellow. If the student’s color is changed to yellow, the student will have a silent lunch for that day. However, if it is after lunch, the student will have silent lunch the next day. If the student still can’t control themselves they will be moved to red. When a student is moved tored, the student will get a note home or a parent will be contacted. Hitting, punching, or any other serious offense will result in the student being put on red. This will result in a parent contact and maybe an office referral. A communication folder will home daily to document behavior with a color. Please initial beside the color to indicate your daily awareness of your child’s behavior. In case of yellow or red a reason will be listed for that particular color.
Consequences Green – Excellent or Good Day Yellow- Warning (silent lunch) Red - Phone call or note home to parents
Individual Rewards My individual positive behavior rewards are given through verbal praises, Positive Parent phone calls, emails or recognitions, the treasure box on Fridays and Fun Fridays.
Classroom Rewards My classroom positive behavior reward will be based upon the Brownie-Cookie Compliment Reward System. This incentive is based on the class as a whole. When the class gets a dozen cookies or brownies they will have a brownie or cookie party.
Mrs. Grant Classroom Rules
In order to create the best possible school experience for your children as well as keeping everyone safe, our class has five basic principles for daily behavior. They are our “Classroom Rules”.
1.Helping hands/Still Hands- Keep hands to self. We use our hands to help others. (We respect personal space and belongings of others) 2. Listening ears- (When someone is talking, we listen) 3. Quiet mouths and voices- (We are quiet in line and in the hallways) 4. Looking eyes- (Our eyes are on the teacher, ready to learn) 5. Walking/Still feet- (We sit crisscross, applesauce on the carpet with our feet in our own personal space. Our feet are for standing and walking.)
